BILLING

As we are a bulk billing surgery, if you are a holder of a current Medicare card, all consultations will be BULK BILLED. Please ensure that you have your Medicare and Pension card/health care card with you at the time of your consultation.

If you are an overseas visitor please ask at reception of the current fee schedule.

There are some services not covered by Medicare, for more information please see reception.

APPOINTMENTS

Please telephone any of our clinics for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accomodate your preferred time and GP. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away. 

At times, you may experience a waiting period due to Doctors tending to urgent or complex medical issues. We apologise for any inconvenience. 

Standard consultations are 10 mins duration, if you require a nurse for immunisation or dressings please inform reception at time of booking.

We can organise an interpreter service for you, please inform us prior to your appointment if required.

TELEPHONE CALLS

Most issues are best dealt with in consultation with your GP and he/she will endeavour to take your call where practicable. At times, your GP may be attending to other patients and may need to return your call. Please inform our receptionist if your call is urgent. Please note that medical information including results will not be give out over the phone.

Accidents and Emergencies will be attended immediately. Appropriate advice regarding emergencies is available from the clinic over the telephone. If attending the surgery you will be seen immediately and assessed. We appreciate your understanding for any inconvenience this may cause.

PATHOLOGY/X-RAY RESULTS

Due to confidentiality, results are not normally given out over the phone. It is recommended that you phone the clinic for an appointment if you wish to discuss your results with Doctor. Generally results may take 2-3 days, however Pap smear will take up to a week.

SPECIALIST REFERRALS

The Health Insurance Commission require a referral from your Doctor before seeing a Specialist in order to obtain the maximum Medicare Rebate. It is an offence for a Doctor to Back Date a referral, so please obtain your referral before your next specialist appointment.

NO SMOKING

No smoking is allowed in the building or within 4 meters of its doors.
